Motorola produces different types of
radios for different users and applications. The FRS and GMRS models
primarily marketed under the Talkabout and Spirit names are for personal
consumer use. We do not offer these radios since our focus is generally
restricted to serving the needs of corporate, institutional, and governmental
users. The Radius family of products is probably the best known of
Motorola's communications products. These are reasonably priced radios
capable of meeting a variety of requirements and suitable for the majority of
applications. Prices tend to be very competitive since these products can
be offered for nationwide distribution by a large number of competing dealers.

On-Site Paging Systems
There are three basic types of
pagers (i.e. one way alerting message devices). In general, on-site users prefer a pager that silently alerts
staff members when they are needed. The pager that best serves this application is known as a alert
only type (i.e. it simply vibrates when called). These are known as digital
pagers. If desired, these pagers can display a numeric message (phone
number, extension, code, etc.). Industrial plants, nursing homes, and
hospital administration users often prefer a pager capable of conveying a text
message. These are known as alphanumeric, text, or message display pagers.
Administrative users often prefer a pager cable of receiving a voice message.
Falcon Direct offers them all as well as pagers capable of receiving a voice
message.
